To be honest, I am not a testimony type of person. I would not write a testimony of how something affected me, unless I knew it could change someone’s life for the better. This isn’t just about Jackie, but the message and exercise that was implemented in her class. Both Jackie and the class are unmatched. No matter if you’re a man, woman, whatever you are going through - Jackie provides strength and comfort in a held space. If you need help dealing with everyday stresses, this practice is it. Personally, I am a mother of three young children, married, have an elderly parent, and recently lost my job. I have felt my lowest, but know that the only person to turn in towards is me. Jackie brought that to my attention. I was numbing pain with anything that could make me forget these feeling of defeat. I didn’t want to admit these feeling. Taking Jackie’s breath classes brought out emotions I was able to accept and not just numb.
Jackie has taught me to get back in touch with myself through breath, and to refocus my mind in the right direction despite the chaos. Numbing pain seems like the quick solution, but reattaching your mind and heart with your soul is what will heal. This is what her breathing class does.
